Swivelling drives are coaxial planetary gearboxes with two to four planetary stages, which drive large diameter bearings or gear rings via an output pinion. Swivelling drives are made with short or long output shafts, depending on the installation situation . The one-piece, case hardened and ground output shaft withstands the highest loads and, if required, can be fitted with profile-corrected gearing.
Swivelling drives are used in swivelling mechanisms in excavators and have a very robust design due to the highly dynamic loads. As a rule, the mostly two-stage gearboxes are driven hydraulically.
Liebherr swivelling drives are always designed for the specific requirements. The types in the table below give an idea of the range of options. Output torques, gear ratios and dimensions are available in a wide range of additional specifications and can be adjusted at any time.
