Whereas previously expensive and complicated limit switch systems were necessary for controlling cylinder operations, now inductive proximity switches installed in the hydraulic cylinder and safe up to 500 bar offer a precise, economical solution. The signals sent by the piston in its end positions serve as impulses for control of all functions of the cylinder, and also for optical and electronic monitoring of piston and position, number of strokes, and sequence of operation. The advantages are clear: - a great saving in space, - fewer mechanical components, - reduced wear, - increased reliability, - lower costs.
